Ellen van Loon and Rem Koolhaas Lecture for CentraleSupélec Paris
Ellen van Loon, Rem Koolhaas
For the recently merged CentraleSupélec University in Paris, Rem Koolhaas presents the OMA masterplan for a new urban campus at Paris-Saclay. This region is destined to become the knowledge centre of France in 2025 and therefore requires a critical re-evaluation of the existing campus model. In this lecture, the postwar politics of Paris's urbanized agglomeration is compared to the current climate of high-investment projects, in order to analyze the urban potential of 21st century innovation clusters.
